Saturday, March 3, 1990 - With Kathy at home at dinner (pizza). Gorgeous dark ruby color. Great legs, with lots of alcohol and extract. The nose is simply stunning. Rich, sumptuous fruit, cocoa, and just a kiss of oak. It could make you cry. Perfection! In the mouth, it is fabulous, though not quite up to the nose. Nice fruit, chewy. Real cherry/berry character. Drinking extremely well now, though it clearly has plenty of round tannins for longevity. Sumptuous wine, elegant silky mouthfeel. Who could ask for anything more? 5-15-17-9: 96/100.
