Color was light ruby red and the was a slightly musty smell at first so we decided to decant it. Not a ton of sediment and bright red fruit on the nose. Cherry and strawberry. On the palate was a luscious mouthfeel of mature cherry, some tobacc, earth and sweet vanilla. Great finish, not long lasting but the kind that made you think to take that next sip. This is a special occassion wine. I bought from Flickenger and the original price tag of $25.99 was on it. It was still a bargain in my mind for the $70 I paid.
