Sunday, February 20, 2022 - A couple years since the last bottle. Dark and brooding, this is the yin to the shake ridge Yang. Amped up funk, with a touch of VA and possibly a bit of dissolved CO2. Dark fruit, tons of dry earth, spice, and is a bit more monolithic than upon release. Reminds me a bit of a young Brunello actually, and G said it reminded him of Lambrusco. Perhaps the ambient storage on this bottle hasn’t been great for this bottle, or perhaps it’s just a bit shut down. Either way, it’s not showing it’s best, and nowhere near the level of the EDWC Hold me tight mourvedre we opened a couple nights earlier.
