Likes this wine:

Thursday, March 19, 2020 - Opaque purple ruby core with an intense garnet pink rim. Rich and heady aromas of liquefied violets, creosote, plum blossoms, lavender, slate, and blackberry compote. This wine really explodes with extended air showcasing gorgeously complex aromas for such a young wine. The palate comes across as wonderfully restrained and not at all over the top with ripe fruit, firm dense tannin, and crisp acidity. Intensely structured but the fruit has enough punch and complexity to support the wine at a young age. This is how you execute a large scaled Mourvedre without making a gloopy soulless wine. Tremendous effort in this hauntingly beautiful wine.

3/24/2020 4:46:00 AM - Perfect, thanks Badfish. I don’t think I gave the D&R Shake Ridge long enough when I opened it last week, so I’ll go for a least 2 hours when I open this one.
