Saturday, April 20, 2024 - Intense ruby colour. Pronounced nose of cherry, raspberry jam, balsamic, sage, liquorice, dried rose, violet, smoke, black pepper, gunmetal, lipstick. It’s intense and perfectly balance, with a load of acidify, high alcohol and grippy tannins, but nothing is out of place. Still plenty of fruit but with lovely savoury notes. It’s excellent. I’d probably drink it after a meal rather than with it - sit back and luxuriate in it.
