Tuesday, February 21, 2012 - From 375mL. Had this with honey cheesecake and it was a great match. But, when I went back to a pre-poured second glass, it was evident that this needed that dessert. The nose was big and attractive with apricot, honey & spice. The rich tropical fruit & apricot could not overcome a pungent astringency on the palate. Lots of acidity. Slightly alcoholic. While I was never banking on this being a stunner, it is really just your average, easy to grasp sweet wine. Ideal for a sweet, creamy dessert. But, unlike a great sweetie, not the best on its own.
