Thursday, May 6, 2021 - Pale garnet in colour. Initially the fruit was shy, being dominated by the wine’s spicy, herbal and floral backbone. Coriander seeds, galangal, black cardamom, malabathrum. With air the floral and fruit notes grew on the nose. Raspberries, mulberries, clove, cassia, hibiscus, rose and lilacs. Medium acid. Predominantly driven by its savoury tones. A really delicate and nuanced wine that continued to grow with time. Can be drunk now, but I suspect those with patience will be handsomely rewarded in 5+ years
