Thursday, January 10, 2019 - 90 minute decant. A little fruit and some earthiness on the nose. Dark fruit and leather on the mid palate with integrated tannin on the finish. Became smooth with a velvet finish as the dinner progressed. Went extraordinarily well with Coq au vin in a dark wine sauce. The wine got better through the evening. looking forward to holding my other bottles for a couple years and seeing how the wine progresses. Lots of time to enjoy this wine.
