Friday, May 9, 2008 - After pop and pour, nose of sweet vanilla, red fruits, tobacco and a touch of licorice. On the palate, fine dusty tannins. Tastes like a Napa cab should. In the mouth, a little tight with flavors of sweet black cherry, touch of red rasberry. Scored a 93 after pop and pour.

After an hour and a half in the decanter, the wine has gained mass and in addition to the notes above above, I sense some chocalate in the nose and the palate. The air has really rounded out the wine. This wine is a bargain at $80 and it may have benefitted a point from this and the juicy ribeye I had with it. Perfect meal. Glad I have another bottle.
