Saturday, November 4, 2023 - From the fridge. Decanted to a carafe. Medium to light, clear gold color. Green apple, light oak on the nose. Tight initially, opening as it warmed a bit. Medium plus acid. Oak becoming more prominent as it warmed. The balance seems a little sub-optimal. The last glass was perhaps the best, so maybe a longer decant is called for. This is a very good Chardonnay, but at this rarified price point, there are better Sonoma Chards in my opinion e.g. Aubert’s offerings.
