Tuesday, January 21, 2020 - Found this bottle at the back of a friend’s pantry and I volunteered ;) to examine it. Cork was intact, saturated about half way but not too bad for 14 yrs of passive storage. The color is quite tawny at the rim with a brown core and very fine sediment. Mild bouquet of flowers, tobacco, spice, and a bit of acetate that blew off and disappeared after 15 minutes open. The palate is still mostly intact, the fruit fading of course, but this modest little song from the Cali Coast still has something to say. Still drinking well at the 4 hour open mark. A properly stored bottle should be a pleasure to drink. 4+10+17+7= 88
