Monday, September 7, 2009 - Did not decant but let it breathe for 1 hr. Nose was black licorice, blueberry, and alcohol. Texture was awesome. Surprising amount of acidity which helped maintain great balance for such a big wine. Wonderful finish. The wine is approachable now but will probably benefit from more time in the cellar. The alcohol on the nose is the ONLY thing that keeps me from giving this a classic score.
