While I'm a fan of a lot of big Cali Cabs, this one either needs time or is just too burly for my tastes. The tannins, though dominating, are tempered by wood, somewhat, making this drinkable now, with an hour or two of decant, if you like the style. This isn't going any place bad soon, drink over at lest the next 6-7 years.
