93 Points

Friday, October 15, 2021 - Bombastic, beguiling nose. Mass of black plums, vanilla and game. Violets. Alcohol pretty well balanced with the soft puffy tannin and bright acid.

Good value considering the quality and opulent style of wine, which can often command inflated prices. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but a good choice if you’re in the mood for a decadent red, perhaps in front of a roaring fire in winter. Drinking well already. (93 Excellent wine)
