Friday, July 23, 2021 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – Champagne and Burgundy (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Expressive nose displaying ripe primary yellow and white fruit, yellow peach, pineapple, pear, lemon curd, bubble yum, sap, spicy spice and mineral. Excellent concentration, packed concentrated yellow fruit, rich and dense, bright acidity and strong mineral, and a long ripe yellow fruit driven finish. It is a bit dense and ripe at the moment, perhaps needs a decade of cellaring and hoping for the best.
