It did have a bit of back end grip, but that just added weight and presence, conveying its Grand Cru status. Four hours after opening I am sitting with the last few drops, and it is kaleidoscopic and haunting. This is what great Burgundy should be. It takes the expectations, sets them up, and knocks them down.
