Monday, July 10, 2023 - 1st half bottle from a dozen bought en primeur. Loved this in a barrel sample, gave it 97 points and bought some. 1st bottle whilst still very young has a nose like white Burgundy (despite there being no chardonnay here) with marmalade. Later joined by complex aromas of peach, vanilla, pineapple and melon. Medium weight is a little lighter than top vintages. Lovely balance apart from a slight concern about the alcohol starting to dominate. Huge length of finish. Very fine.
