Thursday, September 1, 2022 - Fantastic producer Fontodi. I gave this a 4 hr decant. This drinks more like a Brunello. Dark fruits, tart cherry, leather, licorice, balsamic, and Tuscan dirt. Lots of life left in this one.

9/1/2022 6:21:00 PM - Interesting and resonant comment about this drinking more like a BdM, since I tend to love brunellos, be skeptical of chiantis but really like this bottling. Per your note about Fontodi, if you haven’t had it and like sangio, their Flaccianello is one of my favorite wines, full stop. Cheers!
