Saturday, March 9, 2024 - The Sandlands Grenache and Trousseau are, in my opinion, their two best wines. After laying my only bottle down for a few years, I was making lamb and decided today was the day.

Did not get a pepper I expected from a Grenache. This was slightly herbal, almost an oolong or black tea while still having deep fruit and good body. Nothing particularly spectacular but as a whole this was amazing. This was so easy to drink, and amazing with food, but at the same time there was plenty to think about for the times I paid attention.

Could go a few more years, but for me this was in a great place and I wish I had more.
