Tuesday, March 14, 2023 - Decant and pour. Nose shows alcoholic heat with some black fruit, rubber stopper, and wet leaves. Black olive brine and iodine leads the palate, followed by a line of asphalt sealant and moldy fruit notes. Thick, smooth tannins with light oak and dried herbs on the finish. Needs food and a decant now - I'll age further but there wasn't much fruit in this tasting and what was there wasn't that pleasant. I'll give Biale the benefit of the doubt. 88+ points.
