Saturday, September 24, 2022 - Drank this bottle beside a 2016 Freemark Abbey Ted's Blend and 2016 Lariana Sixteen. Opened two hours before drinking - tasted and decided decanting wasn't necessary, but time in the glass was valuable.

Dark almost purple going into the glass. Agree with Salt and Smoke notes - dark berry, cassis, and cocoa on the nose. I also found some leather and pencil lead as well. Super complex multilayered wine with excellent tannins and bright nicely balanced acidity. The mouthfeel was full and lingering and seemed to last forever.

Really spectacular wine - had the fruit of a Napa cabernet, but the earthy taste you typically see from Bordeaux.
