Wednesday, January 13, 2010 - Lovely wine. Deep plum color, good viscosity. Red fruit, some blackberry on the nose. Full of fruit but with good structure. Velvety tannins...a little on the lush side and I'm not sure if this is a 20 year ager or if it should be consumed in the next 10. It benefitted from a brief decant and continued to open through a two hour dinner. More subtle than a lot of over-the-top fruit bombs. I liked this wine a great deal.
