Friday, October 23, 2020 - Pours very light in the glass. Quite pale and even a touch of bricking at the rim. Just a tad cloudy. The nose is assertive and complex: orange peel, red cherry, pomegranate, crushed rock, tar, a touch of forest undergrowth, cardamom, light rose petal, new leather, and just a touch of VA. The palate enters on sweet citrus tinged fruit, but quickly transitions to a savory saline note. Tannin and acid are balanced and medium. The finish is medium plus replaying much of the nose. Fabulous effort here by Pearl Morissette.
