Saturday, February 9, 2019 - Light brown in color. Aromas of pear, sherry, vanilla bean and nut skins. Ripe nicely balanced oxidized fruit in the mouth with very good depth and length. Complex and very persistent on the palate. This bottle, rejected from my auction lot at HDH due to its color, actually improved with aeration and was delicious with Cadence Restaurant's outstanding smoked trout and everything spaetzel with nduja small plates.
