Sunday, February 17, 2013 - A very dark pour, dense dark violet color, no bricking. Rich, full aromas of dark fruit, and a bit of a gamey aroma, not off-putting. Later after some time through the Vinturi and in the decanter for a couple of hours, some additional light alcohol on the nose. Time in the decanter helped open this up into a full-fruited blast, some jamminess, and a thick mouthfeel. Soft tannins. You have to be patient with this one after opening but it definitely works itself out.
