Friday, July 23, 2021 - Opened and paired with mixed grill leftover. Dark, purple-crimson, cloudy color. The nose brings barnyard, spring violets, grape menthol, and lavender. The palate is medium, square, compact, and juicy, bringing dark rhubarb, tart huckleberry, grape compote, and high-toned notes of sour cherries and tart cranberries into a highly tannic finish. Drink 2023-2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.
