Tuesday, December 1, 2020 - Wow, this was lovely. Faded ruby-orange moderate concentration of color; medicinal, herbal, musty, super savory, bitter root, sandal wood, very complex and heady like a musky cologne. Excellent structure, great tangy finish still, good acidity, mellowed out tannins, showing fantastically. Thought this was a high class Barolo, but not showing its age, I guessed 2001. This tied for first place for me (based on my notes and scoring).
