Sunday, April 30, 2023 - A truly remarkable wine. One of those wines where the high quality French oak (like Ramonet) gives the effect of reduction, but it’s really just a beautiful toast patina singing loudly. It is utterly rich and satisfying. Deep concentrated yellow peach, lemon confit, pineapple and melon marry together so nicely. Full bodied, with ample buttressing acidity. Years ago, I was blinded on the 17 of this wine and guessed a 10 year old Peter Michael chard. Even now that makes some sense. This is world class, luxurious stuff.
