Wednesday, May 19, 2021 - The Wine Society: Beaujolais wines; 5/10/2021-5/20/2021: Compared to the 2018 (a quite delicious and luxurious experience) the 2019 is like walking out of a warm and decadent opium den into cool London air at 6am on a Sunday morning. Invigorating and refreshing, this is strapped back and almost like drinking water after brushing your teeth. All things are relative of course - there is layers of black fruit and sticky tannins but what elevates this is the freshness - already quite brilliant. This is a lot of wine for £13. Thirteen quid. Thirteen. 13.
