Friday, August 28, 2015 - On our 20th wedding anniversary, we opened this 20-year-old Bordeaux to celebrate. Double-decanted; light-to-moderate sediment; both fill and cork were excellent. Took this to a restaurant for dinner and failed to make notes that night.
Second day: A faint hint of browning around the edges of a nice ruby color. Nose of dark fruit and a trace of cedar. Bold fruit--plums perhaps--on the palate, well balanced by the acids. Lengthy finish with smooth tannins. Probably will not improve in future years, but I can imagine enjoying my remaining 11 bottles over the next 10 years.
