Saturday, March 19, 2016 - Requires decanting like the classic claret of the 90s this wine is.the Barton philosophy of making a lighter style of wine definitely helped in avoiding the 1995 pitfalls of dry edges and a bit of green tannin we usually come across in this at the time celebrated vintage.
This is as classic as it gets, light spice, earthy, blackcurrants, light cedar and a bit herbal. Well round and soft on the tannin, decent fruit. Was a bit short on the finish and we would have liked some more depth but we thoroughly enjoyed this. 91
