Sunday, February 24, 2019 - Certainly ready to drink, it is forward for the year, and the estate in general. The nose is its best feature and is wonderfully deep with blackcurrant, ripe plum, and old leather, and could easily be mistaken for a wine 10 years older. The palate has excellent balance and is a classic old school mature Bordeaux. It is not particularly complex, and the finish is on the short side with some bitterness towards the end. However, this is a highly enjoyable wine and ready to drink with only a short time in the decanter needed.
