Wednesday, July 23, 2008 - WIML92
Tasted July 23, 2008 at an offline.
From memory. Opened and decanted about 2 plus hours before serving. Somewhere in the dark garnet to purple color range, clear hue throughout. Still a little tight on the nose and palate with mostly black cherries and berries coming throughout. Also some cedar notes on the nose. Still good acidity, tannins and fruit. I don't know if the fruit will outlast the acidity in this wine but I'd likely continue to open one bottle every couple of years to keep monitoring and hoping she blossoms further. At the moment I'd say it's drinking around the WIML92 mark (which is within 1 point of my last tasting of this wine) but that could go up or obviously down with more time in bottle.
