Tuesday, January 25, 2022 - This light golden Chardonnay was uncorked and serially tasted over the ensuing two hours. With an attractive aromatic profile of pit fruits, blood oranges, jasmine, wet stones and coriander, it is a medium-bodied, crisply acidic wine with well-integrated alcohol (13.5%) and beautifully proportioned oak. The flavors mirror the aromas, adding notes of honey and cardamom. Layered in the middle and closing with impressive length, this is a tremendous white Burgundy that will get even better with a couple more years in the cellar. It may merit a classic score if it develops as anticipated. Serve this at no lower than cellar temperature, as the aromas really blossom when the wine warms up. Drink 2024-2033.
