93 Points

Sunday, February 13, 2022 - A bit of a waxy/dry extract feel to the glossy yellow citrus and stone fruit, with a balanced acidity that keeps the succulence in proper focus, this 2019 Petit Chablis is silimar to its 2018 sibling, with perhaps a slight uptick in intensity with the younger brother here. A gulper of a wine that goes down faster than the human spirit at a Dave Matthews concert.

Punches above its class when compared to other 1er Crus (as it should, given the tariff), the 2019 Dauvissat Petit Chablis performs as one would expect. Solid quality and consistent delivery throughout consumption. A tasty and yummy version; less of a nervy or hyper-crystalline showing. 92-93 points. If your style veers more toward white fruit and salty fossilized Chablis typicity, score less here. Drink now and over the next 5+ years.
