Monday, August 9, 2021 - "O, Welch ein Augenblick!" special label. This seems to be a specially labelled 2011 vintage Krone Spätburgunder for the 250th anniversary of Beethoven. All a bit strange, presumably a lot of the events were cancelled which is why this was found heavily discounted. Lovely nose of wild strawberry, smoke and rose petal. Light, even thin, palate of red cherry and hibiscus with high acidity and a finish of violet and spice. Not bad but nothing special.
