93 Points

Monday, September 13, 2004 - Dinner with Tracy at Casanova's in Carmel. The nose screams Quilceda with bright blueberry, blackberry, violets, chocolate, and charred wood. The palate has picked up a lot of weight in the 90 minutes it has been opened. It is now very lush with tastes of chocolate, vanilla, and spice. The first sip was dominated by spice, but now it has integrated. This wine still is very tight, with most of the taste on the front of my mouth. It should futher open in a few years. 93+
