Friday, October 10, 2003 - Seattle Tasting Group does "American Bordeaux Varietals" (plus 1992-1997 Pahlmeyer Red) (Seattle, WA, USA): Wow, this shows candied wood, raspberry, blackberry and exotic tropical notes. I even caught a whiff of banana?!? On the palate this has a sweet, pure entry with dominant notes of chambord, deep layering of texture and flavor and very present acidity. The finish is spicy, still showing some wood and gains length with time in the glass. (Group average 91.375)
