Sunday, October 16, 2011 - Youthful, deep, bright cherry at the rim. Unusually leggy, hanging on the glass. Nose loaded with Quilceda violets, although a bit on the earthy side. On the palate, lots of spicy oak and juicy bing cherry. Big acidity and some tannin remain, but the overall package is a little simple and light, and made almost thinnish by a touch of heat. This is still pleasant enough now, but may not get much better. Decant a couple hours.
