Sunday, June 17, 2012 - Good solid fruit with firmer than expected tannins. One could easily mistake this for classified bordeaux. Nose of dark cherry, cedar, violet and iron, it opens up across the palate with dark berries and a hint of carob and mocha that follows through on the finish. The tannins are somewhat drying but there is enough fruit to overpower any sourness.
