A really nice wine, to be sure, with its mix of red and black fruit, but I found this a little woodsy for BG, and the oak definitely poked through a little more than I really would have cared for, especially coming off my experiences with other wines from Berthaut. Don't get me wrong -- this is a really interesting and compelling pinot, but I think it paled in comparison to the lighter and more lifted Hervelets, and would stand to benefit very much with additional time.
