Thursday, November 23, 2023 - Basic Bourgogne (TWS), 23 November (Must and Lees, Warren Street): I found this difficult - an overwhelming smell and taste of tomato soup at first. A salty complexity that was hard to ignore. I'm not sure whether it was just more savoury and withheld than the Verdet (or the previous flight) but it was not for me. Perhaps it needs more time or more aggressive aeration to let the fruit emerge?
