Tuesday, January 12, 2021 - Pleasantly surprised with this bottle as I was expecting quality to be average at best. Having stood the bottle upright in storage for a couple months certainly helped as the wine was clear and a good light ruby red with no signs of cloudiness. Slow O'd for a couple hours and then into a decanter for another couple of hours. Nose gives some tobacco and red fruit. The taste is well balanced with better than expected amount of fruit - red berries and roses - along with tobacco and mineral elements. Moderately long finish.
