3/15/2024 5:59:00 PM - Nice note. Curious if you would still be inclined to let it lay down longer? Most 2019 cabs that I’ve had this year could use some more time in my opinion but maybe this is one of the exceptions.

3/15/2024 6:47:00 PM - Great question Badmonkey. This bottle was not decanted, but was opened about an hour before pouring and then consumed over the next 4 hours. Another hour of slow oxidation may have led to a slight improvement but it’s enjoyable as is. And by enjoyable, I mean fucking delicious! There’s some structure, really ripe tannins and a nice balance of ripe fruit with a hint of some acidity to ensure a long life. I feel you will not be disappointed with where it is now, but it won’t hurt to let your bottles rest. Hope this helps …
