Monday, June 5, 2023 - After a brief decant I poured and sipped. The 2016 San Filippo is at the beginning of its drinking window. Tannins are light, and there is a fair amount of fruit. I drank my bottle over a three evening period with consistent notes. The 2016 is a better specimen than the 2015, but not a great one. Is it worth $75 a bottle? Probably not.
