Monday, August 23, 2021 - Giacosa tasting at Knightsbridge Wine Shoppe (Chicago, IL): I probably liked this the least of the three 2017 Giacosa single vineyards we tasted today. Both the nose and palate here were muted. You can tell this has some significant structure, but beyond that, the fruit didn't feel particularly giving and I got a bit of an austere sense from this wine. Probably better with more time, but judgment reserved tonight.
