Sunday, July 23, 2023 - Thrilling to explore the in-bottle evolution since I last enjoyed Aalto in the 2019 vintage in January 2022. This wine has now clearly entered the drinking window - rich, ripe w burgeoning complexity, wow! Lovely red-ruby, somewhat darkish core, otherwise translucent in appearance. A cascade of dark & red fruit - cassis, black- and blueberries, raspberries & cherries, tobacco, distinct pepper, a tad of iron. Full-bodied palate, vibrant acidity, real energy & grip, not overly heavy - just elegant, long, ripe close!
