Sunday, February 25, 2024 - Initially very reticent and had a lot of barnyard funk in the nose, not off putting but definitely present. Towards the end of the night, it lost all that funk and it opened with pure ripe red fruit, ethereal and effortless wine. It felt like drinking grape juice with no alcohol (in the best way ever). Had a glass left in the bottle and had it 2 days later and it’s still singing. Claus’s wines need a lot of air and I would definitely decant or open this ahead of time and this goes for even his entry level wine - putza libre.
