Saturday, July 5, 2008 - Studio Restaurant (@ The Montage Resort In Laguna Beach): The nose on this wine reminded me a lot of what I sometimes pick up with someof the Garys' fruit--bbq meat, saddle, tar, with a sweet edge. As the wine sits, the blueberry notes emerged, along with tar/creosote. Given the pace of the wine that kept coming, I enjoyed this wine and just kept walking my Reidel path. I just wish I could have camped out with this wine for another day to get a real sense of what it was about, given all the attention being paid to it.
