Saturday, July 26, 2008 - took to Blue Duck Tavern in DC.
popped and decanted for about 40 minutes. showing very well. meat/bacon and dried herbs along with rich blue fruit. smooth and silky on the palate with a feeling of alcohol but without it actually showing up like "heat". increadibly lovely. went well with dishes around the table (the lamb the braised beef and the duck) did magical stuff with the duck confit. not cloying or overpowering at all. again, almost seems like it would/will be but then it manifests itself in complexity and length and not "size". fabulous.
